It’s not a salad. This is a great way to make an easy quick dinner. The sausage came from Whole Foods whenever there is a sale I stock up. Keeping sausage in your freezer is a great way make a quick meal. I try to get a mix chorizo for Mexican dishes. Italian for zucchini noodle and meatballs. Breakfast sausage for eggs.
This is bratwurst I paired it with sauerkraut and a radish and parsley salad. To make sure I had enough fat I drenched it in olive oil. Whenever I’m leaving town I make a salad and whatever I have left in my fridge. I try not to let food go to waste. I should probably invest in a food scale from trying to keep my portions to 3 ounces. I’m pretty sure the sausage is bigger than 3 ounces or 4 for that matter. So it’s best to cut a piece off and not even let it be on your plate that’s hard to not eat the whole sausage. You could also put this meal in a Ziploc bag and take it to go.
